Join Forge for an in-person arts session led by Dr. Sharon Cook. Sharon was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009, which returned as metastatic in 2018. Throughout her cancer journey, Sharon has turned to artistic pursuits for coping and healing. During this two-hour session, Sharon will teach participants about Mandala techniques and lead us in the creation of our own works for art.
The focus of this class will be doing something healing for yourself or caring for someone else as a valentine gift. Maybe you want to create something beautiful for yourself to enjoy? Or maybe you want to make a Mandala for someone you know that is going through a hard time? Participants will have the option to work on white or black paper – All supplies will be provided.
Please join us for an afternoon of making art and joining in community with one another.
If you are able to donate any amount to contribute to Forge’s continued efforts to support our local breast cancer community, we greatly appreciate it. Donations can be made on the Forge website: https://forgeon.org/donate
