Forge Breast Cancer Survivor Center hosts a virtual “Coffee Conversation” on select mornings that features a 30-minute interview with a survivor, co-survivor, or medical professional on a topic, followed by a time for conversation with participants.
May 8th’s Coffee Conversation features Lori Mills. She was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer in March 2023. She found Forge shortly after her diagnosis. Lori is a social worker by profession, and lives in Trussville with my husband and two children. She has now reached the point in her breast cancer journey that she wants to support others with the disease.
Lori also leads Forge’s Young Breast Cancer Survivor Support Group held on the second Thursday each month on zoom from 6 to 7 p.m. The goal of this peer lead group is to offer a safe space for support and community!
Please join our Coffee Conversation discussing the power of support groups!
