Coffee Conversations: Breast Cancer Support in Montgomery

Forge Breast Cancer Survivor Center hosts a virtual “Coffee Conversation” on select mornings that features a 30-minute interview with a survivor, co-survivor or expert on a topic, followed by a time for conversation with participants.
January 22nd’s Coffee Conversation features Carol Banks. Carol Banks is a mother, grandmother, educator and a 10-year breast cancer survivor. She has been a dedicated special education teacher for over 30 years and is employed as a teacher with Alabama Connections Academy Virtual School.
In addition to her role as an educator, Carol is the coordinator of Touched by an Angel Cancer Support Group of Freewill Missionary Baptist Church, in Montgomery, Ala. Freewill Missionary Baptist Church’s Touched by an Angel Cancer Support Group consists of dedicated members who provide hope, comfort and compassionate care to cancer patients.
