Coffee Conversations: Prayer Pillow Ministry

November 13 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Forge Breast Cancer Survivor Center hosts a virtual “Coffee Conversation” on select mornings that features a 30-minute interview with a survivor, co-survivor, or expert on a topic, followed by a time for conversation with participants.

November 13th’s Coffee Conversation features Yvonne White Mitchell. Yvonne is an author, nonprofit founder and breast cancer survivor. A graduate of Marbury High School in 1989 and Concordia College in Selma in 2005, she is the proud mother of two daughters and happily married. Yvonne has authored two inspirational books, Breast Cancer Picked the Wrong Chick and A Threat to the Enemy. She is the founder and executive director of The Prayer Pillow Ministry Outreach, a nonprofit based in Maplesville, Ala., aimed at providing support through community outreach. Diagnosed with medullary carcinoma in 2017, Yvonne underwent 16 rounds of chemotherapy and eight weeks of radiation therapy, emerging with a strong determination to inspire others through her journey of faith and resilience.

Please join our Coffee Conversation discussing her journey and Prayer Pillow Ministries!
