Forge Breast Cancer Survivor Center hosts a virtual “Coffee Conversation” on select mornings that features a 30-minute interview with a survivor, co-survivor or medical professional on a topic, followed by a time for conversation with participants.
June 12th’s Coffee Conversation features Beth Chandler. Beth is a registered physical therapist and certified lymphedema therapist. She has been practicing for 32 years in acute care, rehab and outpatient settings. She has been employed at Grandview Medical Center for the past 20 years. She serves on the clinical advisory board at Forge Breast Cancer Survivor Center.
Beth became a certified lymphedema therapist in 2019 and has specialized in this area since 2020. Her passion began with patients who were affected by cancer but treats any patient affected by lymphedema. The patients she sees following breast cancer treatments often have additional needs for PT such as range of motion limitations, postural deficits, axillary cording, scar adhesions, pain and weakness. She seeks to meet all these needs during therapy sessions and has a team of therapists in her clinic to assist.
Please join our Coffee Conversation discussing improving range of motion and cording during breast cancer treatment!
