Join Forge for a creative gardening event with Elizabeth Vander Kamp. We each will paint a terracotta pot and plant a few seeds to nurture and thrive in the Alabama summer heat. We will begin at 1:30 p.m. with a snack and hellos before learning about creative design and gardening tips from Elizabeth beginning at 2 p.m.
This is an IN-PERSON event in Birmingham, Ala.
About the materials: Materials will be provided at Forge for this event, including light refreshments.
About our facilitator: Elizabeth Vander Kamp is an artist-in-residence with the UAB Institute for Arts in Medicine (AIM). She offers workshops in Zentangle and creative writing. She also works bedside telling stories, which offers patients the opportunity to laugh and talk, to overcome pain and fear, to awaken their imaginations, and to revel in the possibility of happy endings. You can learn more about Elizabeth and her work on her website: http://www.summerreddesigns.org.
