Morning Pages

An event every week that begins at 9:00 am on Monday, repeating indefinitely
Forge Morning Pages is a virtual group of creative women who have been impacted by breast cancer and are interested in building community and connection with one another. It meets the second, third and fourth Monday of the month at 9:00 am CT on Zoom and is co-led by group members. After sharing about their lives and journaling for the week, the last 15 minutes are reserved to read a thoughtful poem and have time to respond to a writing prompt (sharing is optional).
As some of our regular participants have put it,
“Morning pages is a time to connect and reflect. It is an intentional time to read a poem and do some quick writing even if you didn’t get any writing done any other time during the week.”
“We support each other’s striving for a creative life, whatever that means to each of us. It’s a grounding way to start my week.”
“It’s a safe place to share about our cancer journey. Often we don’t. That helps plant the seed that our Life is not centered on having cancer. It’s not.”

Consistency is important to build trust in sharing. After your first month with Morning Pages, you are welcome to continue to meet with us regularly or sporadically!
