Healing Yoga after Breast Cancer

January 20 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Tuesday, repeating until February 24, 2026

Join us for a 6-week series on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. The Yoga Circle with Stephen Fletcher starting Jan. 20.

Class Description: Yoga for Breast Cancer Survivors 🧘‍♀️

This 60-minute class is designed to nurture your body and mind. We’ll begin with a calming, seated check-in, focusing on the breath and bringing awareness to thoughts and feelings. Gentle floor stretches will help warm up the body, leading into standing poses to build strength and balance, held for about 30 seconds each. We’ll then return to the floor for core and back strengthening, followed by relaxing stretches for the hips. The class ends with a peaceful 5-minute meditation and a restorative 10-minute savasana to leave you feeling refreshed and centered.

This class is open to all levels, and modifications will be provided to ensure everyone feels comfortable and supported.

Materials: No special equipment is required, but we recommend wearing comfortable, breathable yoga clothing that allows for full movement. A yoga mat will be provided, but feel free to bring your own, and any props you may find helpful, such as a blanket, blocks or straps. If you have any questions about the event or materials before registering, please email [email protected].

Schedule: This 6-week series will meet in-person on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., running Jan. 20 through Feb. 24 at The Yoga Circle.

About Our Expert:

Stephen Fletcher was working as an LMT at an Ayurvedic massage when he discovered hot yoga. Within a year of practicing he was off to a 9-week teacher training in LA. Stephen opened his own studio in February of 2005 and has been teaching ever since. Stephen’s class is inevitably spiritual in nature and pulls from every yoga and discipline that exists. He will help you see the inherent oneness of all things as his physical instructions emerge as a philosophy. Stephen will emphasize that good yoga lies in perception and reception. His background in music and massage, help expand his view of the body and mind and their ultimate union.

His yoga philosophy: Make room for all the paradox. Everything is symbiotic and ultimately one, so follow no set path as a living truth is always changing. Nothing need define you, only shape You!
