Coffee Conversations: Lymphatic Massage and Breast Cancer

October 20, 2025 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Forge Breast Cancer Survivor Center hosts a virtual “Coffee Conversation” on select mornings that features an interview with a survivor, co-survivor or expert on a topic, followed by a time for conversation with participants.

October 20th’s Coffee Conversation will feature Jevashia Williams, a licensed massage therapist and graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in health sciences. She also completed specialized training at the Birmingham School of Massage, receiving certification in neuromuscular and massage therapy. Dedicated to expanding her expertise, Jevashia has earned additional certifications in cupping, lymphatic drainage and prenatal massage. She offers a variety of services, including Swedish, neuromuscular, deep tissue, sports, lymphatic and couples massages, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of her clients.

Before becoming a massage therapist, Jevashia worked as a rehabilitation therapy assistant in hospital settings, collaborating closely with physical and occupational therapists to support patient recovery. This background enables her to take a clinically informed approach to massage therapy, blending relaxation techniques with targeted treatments for muscle recovery, improved circulation and mental decompression. She places a special emphasis on prenatal care, encouraging regular massage sessions alongside prenatal checkups to promote a healthy pregnancy, reduce stress and prevent fluid retention. Through her work, Jevashia is honored to help clients experience relief, healing and overall wellness in a peaceful, safe environment.
