Coffee Conversations: Dermatology Insights with Dr. Murthy

August 19 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

A time of virtual gatherings to learn, share, discuss and celebrate journeys with breast cancer.

Forge Breast Cancer Survivor Center hosts a virtual “Coffee Conversation” on select mornings that features a 30-minute interview with a survivor, co-survivor or expert on a topic, followed by a time for conversation with participants.

Join us for a Coffee Conversation with Dr. Rajini Murthy of Total Dermatology as we explore the important role skin, hair and nail health play throughout the breast cancer journey.

Breast cancer treatments can bring a variety of physical changes that impact comfort, confidence, and overall well-being. During this discussion, Dr. Murthy will share insights on managing common treatment-related concerns, including skin sensitivity, radiation effects, hair loss and regrowth, nail changes, scar care, and long-term skin health during survivorship.

This conversation will also provide an opportunity to learn practical self-care strategies, discuss the emotional impact of appearance-related changes, and explore resources available to support individuals during and after treatment.

***This event is free, but requires registration***

If you are able to donate any amount to contribute to Forge’s continued efforts to support our local breast cancer community, we greatly appreciate it. Donations can be made on the Forge website: https://forgeon.org/donate
