Coffee Conversations: Breast Cancer Support in East Alabama

February 12 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Forge Breast Cancer Survivor Center hosts a virtual “Coffee Conversation” on select mornings that features a 30-minute interview with a survivor, co-survivor or expert on a topic, followed by a time for conversation with participants.

February 12th’s Coffee Conversation features Narfunda Ross. Narfunda is a breast cancer survivor and dedicated community leader and advocate. Diagnosed in 2008, she is one of three breast cancer survivors in her family. Her mother was diagnosed in 2006 and her sister in 2014. Narfunda is deeply committed to supporting others through her work as co-founder of Team WHIP (Working to Help Those in Pink) in Lanett, Ala., an organization focused on breast cancer awareness and support. She is also an active member of the Junior League of Chattahoochee Valley, where she contributes to various community initiatives. In 2024, Narfunda had the honor of being a model at Forge’s Haute Pink fashion fundraiser. Under her leadership, Team WHIP was voted Best Nonprofit by the Chambers County community.
